Hear it from me

Every summer, the same thing happens.

You start June with good intentions. You are going to keep practicing. You are going to read more, watch videos, maybe even take a class.

And then life takes over. Holidays, family, heat, long days. Language learning slowly disappears from your week. By September, you feel like you are starting from zero again.

You are not lazy. You are not unmotivated. You just didn't have a simple structure to hold onto.

This program is that structure.

Every week, one short text. One audio. That's it.

The Confident English Summer runs from June 2 to August 25 — 12 weeks. Every week, one text arrives in the Telegram group. It is short, easy to read, and written specially for intermediate (B1) English learners — not adapted from a textbook, not taken from a newspaper. Written for you, at your level, so you can read it comfortably even on a busy summer day.

You read it. You listen to the audio. You do a short vocabulary exercise.

That's your week done.

Think of it like a weekly magazine that arrives in your pocket. You open it when you have 30 minutes — on the beach, in the garden, with something cold to drink. You read, you listen, you think. And then you carry on with your summer.

There is also a Telegram group where we discuss what you read, share our thoughts, and read what others say. A friendly space for English learners just like you.

Going away in July? No problem. All materials stay in the group. You can catch up any time.

Not just English practice. A light self-development journey.

The texts are about language learning, the brain, and the inner life of a learner. Every week you will read something that not only practises your English but gives you a tool, an idea, or a new way of looking at yourself as a speaker. Small shifts. But real ones.

By the end of the summer, you will have:

  • Read 12 interesting texts in English — written specially for your level, easy to follow and enjoyable
  • Learned vocabulary naturally, from context, without boring drilling
  • Kept your English alive all summer, without stress or pressure
  • Understood more about how your brain works with language — why you feel what you feel, and what helps
  • Collected a set of simple, applicable tools that will change how you see yourself as a learner
  • Practiced writing in English in a low-pressure, friendly group
  • Arrived in September knowing you did something meaningful for your English and for yourself

Interesting topics. Not grammar. Not textbook exercises.

The 12 texts are written specially for intermediate (B1 and above) English learners. They are clear, engaging, and easy to follow — even when you are tired or busy. No complicated language. No difficult grammar. Just good, readable content that makes you think.

Topic 1
Why you feel anxious in a foreign language
What happens in your brain — and what to do about it
Topic 2
How to talk to yourself as a learner
Positive self-talk, mindset, and the inner game of becoming confident
Topic 3
How your brain learns best
What brain science says about memory, focus, and language
Topic 4
Emotions and language learning
How your feelings affect the way you learn and remember

Ideas from Atomic Habits, The Inner Game of Tennis, Emotional Intelligence and more — simplified, rewritten, and made easy to read for B1 learners and above.

From learners who felt exactly like you

"I expected a typical language course. This was much more like coaching — about how to get rid of anxiety in a foreign language. I loved that."

— Kriszta, hotel manager

"I tried the techniques in real situations and they worked. I was amazed. I didn't know our brain works this way."

— Réka, cell biologist

"So many interesting things. I can already feel the difference."

— Szilvi, burnout coach

This is for you if...

  • You are an intermediate English learner — if you can read and understand most of this page, you will be able to read the texts in the program
  • You want to keep your English active this summer without pressure or big time commitments
  • You want to improve your reading and listening skills
  • You are curious about how your brain and emotions connect to language learning
  • You want a small but meaningful shift in how you see yourself as a learner
  • You want to belong to a friendly language learning community and chat with other learners
  • You have stopped and restarted your English learning too many times, and you want this summer to be different

This is not for you if:

You are looking for a typical language course. This program will not make you fluent overnight. And if you are looking for grammar exercises and drills, this is not the right fit.

17 years of teaching. 5 languages learned as an adult.

The thing I have noticed — with my learners, and in myself — is that summer is dangerous for language learners. Not because they stop caring. But because without a simple structure, it is very easy to stop and forget everything you worked so hard for during the year.

This program is my answer to that. Something light enough to fit into a summer life. Interesting enough to actually want to do. And deep enough to leave you knowing something new about yourself as a learner.

I will be in the Telegram group every week, all summer. You will not be alone in this.

One text. One audio. Every week. All summer.

Things people want to know

What level do I need?

Intermediate and above. If you can read and understand this page without too much difficulty, you are ready. You do not need to be advanced.

What if I miss a week or go on holiday?

No problem. All materials stay in the Telegram group. You can catch up whenever you are ready. The program is designed for real summer life.

Do I have to speak or join live sessions?

No. There are no live sessions, no video calls, no speaking exercises. Everything happens in writing, in your own time. This is completely intentional.

How much time does it take each week?

About 30 to 45 minutes for the reading, audio, and exercises. The community group is optional — you decide how much you want to participate.

I already work with a teacher. Can I still join?

Yes, absolutely. This program works well alongside lessons. The topics are interesting and different from a normal class — they can give you more to talk about with your teacher.

Will this make me a better speaker?

This is a reading and listening program — not a speaking course. It will give you more vocabulary, a better understanding of how your brain works with language, and a summer of consistent practice.

September will come either way.
The question is what you do with your summer.

Twelve weeks. One text a week. No pressure. Just you, good reading, and a community that understands you.
